Gregory Nagy, a Harvard Professor for more than 45 years, Director of CHS in Washington DC, and a worldwide renowned Classicist, is the founder of CHS Greece. Professor Nagy, has received a large number of distinctions and honorary degrees & positions over the years, many of them in Greece, such as honorary doctorates from various Greek Universities, the Onassis Foundation prize, etc. He is an elected foreign member of the Academy of Athens since 2010 and has been awarded the rank of Commander of the Order of Honor by the former President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopios Pavlopoulos, in 2019.
