Affiliates

CHS Greece organizes and supports a wide range of initiatives addressed to various groups of students, faculty, researchers, and the wider public.

Therefore, the Center’s Board of Directors forms committees consisting of academics and other experts, and can also invite individuals or teams of specialists, who can support the organization of existing and the development of new activities of the Center, both in Greece and abroad. Individuals are listed per committee and alphabetical order.

Lucia Athanassaki, Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Crete

Lucia Athanassaki has taught Greek and Latin at the University of Crete for almost thirty years. Previously, she taught Greek and Latin at the University of Virginia (1990-91) and, as a graduate student, at Brown University (1983-90). See Lucia Athanassaki's bio.

Xenophon Paparrigopoulos, Lawyer, Member of the Scientific Service of the Hellenic Parliament, and Associate Professor of Law and Philosophy at the University of the Peloponnese

Prof. Paparrigopoulos studied law in Athens and he subsequently pursued graduate studies at the Harvard Law School, where he obtained an LL.M. (1981) and an S.J.D. (1984) degree. See Xenophon Paparrigopoulos's bio.

Anastasia-Erasmia Peponi, Professor of Classics at Stanford University

Anastasia-Erasmia Peponi was born in Athens and graduated from the Moraitis School. She earned both her BA and her PhD in Classics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and taught for more than ten years at the University of Crete ( Department of Philology.
