Community of fellows

Long, bright meeting room with a large mosaic wall, oval wooden conference table and chairs, screen on the far wall, and bookshelves by wooden doors.

CHS Greece, extending the activities and humanistic pursuits of the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, DC, fosters a growing community of researchers, academics, and other experts, who represent diverse social, educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds and come together to support its operation and outreach.

As part of their collaboration with the Center, all fellows become active members of the global CHS academic community. They receive an appointment for at least one academic year, which includes, among other provisions:

  • The title of CHS fellow for the duration of the appointment.
  • Remote access to Harvard’s online libraries and resources.
  • Opportunities to participate in the Center's activities and collaborative initiatives.

Fellows are appointed through a range of fellowship programs that support research of the highest quality in the Humanities, Hellenic Studies, and across fields. The Center sustains an active community of current fellows and past fellows in Greece and around the world, who contribute their expertise to CHS Greece’s programs while also enabling cross-disciplinary connections.
