About the Photo Contest
The annual Photo Contest organized by Harvard’s Office of International Education (OIE) attracts Harvard students college-wide, who wish to exhibit their photography skills and share special moments and views from their international trips during the past academic year. Prospective contestants are welcome to submit their original photographs from their experience abroad under the categories “Everyday Life”, “Natural World/Landscape” and “Architecture/Built Environment”, as well as claim one of the numerous prizes offered by Harvard offices, international centers or student organizations.
For more information regarding the organizational aspects of the contest, the participation procedure and for a full list of the prizes, visit the Photo Contest’s webpage in the OIE site.
The CHS prize
Since 2013, the Center for Hellenic Studies contributes to the photo contest by sponsoring a special prize for photos taken in Greece. Undergraduates who are hosted by CHS Greece in the context of a study-abroad activity, are contacted about the contest in the fall and encouraged to submit their photos. Every year, a CHS representative attends the winners’ reception on campus in early February to award the prize.
