We are excited to announce the inaugural virtual meeting of the "Global Communications Committee," a newly established task force operating under the guidance and continued support of Harvard University’s Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs.

Convened during the 3rd in-person summit of the Global Office Directors in Cambridge on October 16, 2023, the committee was initiated by Harvard's Vice Provost for International Affairs, Mark Elliott.

The committee, comprised of 5 members, is dedicated to raising awareness within the Harvard community in Cambridge about the initiatives and endeavors of the global offices. Monthly virtual meetings will facilitate discussions on strategies and potential future actions, emphasizing collaboration with colleagues to enhance visibility on campus. Strategies will highlight our international identity and connection with Harvard, fostering understanding and support for our initiatives.

The current committee members bring diverse backgrounds and experiences from various continents and offices operating under different administrative structures within the University. These are:

  1. Christos Giannopoulos, Managing Director of the CHS Greece Office, Chair
  2. Jessica McCann, Senior Communications Officer, Office of the Provost, Permanent member & representative from the Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs
  3. Nthatisi Quella, Office Director of the CAS Africa Office
  4. Marcela Rentería, Executive Director of the DRCLAS Chile Regional Office
  5. Yi Wang, Executive Director of the Harvard Center in Shanghai

The committee welcomes participation from all other Global Office Directors, and additional members may be invited to join future meetings.
