Service Based Program: Summer Internships

CHS Greece, in cooperation with the National Archaeological Museum of Nafplio, the Nafplio Annex of the National Gallery, the Fougaro Cultural Complex, and the Organization of Culture, Environment, Sports, and Tourism of the Municipality of Nafplio, and the support of and the support of Harvard's Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies.

Synopsis of the internship program:

Internships are offered to the Department of Visual and Applied Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1 slot), the Department of Social Administration and Political Science, Democritus University of Thrace (1 slot), the Department of Archives, Library Science, and Museology, Ionian University (1 slot), the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1 slot), and the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Ioannina (1 slot); and also to Harvard (3 slots), Georgetown (1 slot) and Boston (1 slot) Universities. Divided into groups, the participants intern in local cultural institutions with assignments based on their academic background and professional development. A broad variety of educational activities and lectures complements the students’ internships.

In the fall of 2017, the Greek interns will visit Washington DC, as a follow-up of the program. The trip, which is fully supported by CHS, is an opportunity to share their experience with the CHS US community and visit institutions related to their Nafplio internships
