The Center for the Study of Myth & Religion in Greek & Roman Antiquity, affiliated with the Department of Philology, University of Patras, organizes an International Conference to honor its founder and pioneering scholar Professor Menelaos Christopoulos, on the occasion of his retirement in summer 2023. This International Conference is an opportunity for colleagues, friends, and students of Professor Menelaos Christopoulos from all over the world to come together at Patras University in order to honour him and celebrate – through a plethora of papers – his dedication to research, as well as teaching, over the years.
The Conference will take place over a week and will focus on multiple aspects of Greek antiquity. Its Proceedings will be published online by Harvard University’s Center for Hellenic Studies, as an honourary volume under the title “Γέρα: Studies in Honour of Menelaos Christopoulos” (due to appear in December 2023).
