Academic visit of six CHS fellows to the US in spring 2026
The six Early Career Fellows in Hellenic Studies of the Center for Hellenic Studies for the academic year 2025-2026 based in Greece, Özge Acar, Michail Marinis, Georgios Mouratidis, Aikaterini Peppa, Ermioni Prokopaki, and Yannis Stamos, traveled to the United States and the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, D.C. (CHS US) from April 22 to May 4.
While in Washington, D.C., the fellows participated in academic gatherings hosted at CHS US, where each presented their ongoing research, engaged in discussions, and received constructive feedback from members of the CHS academic community, both in-person and remotely. In addition, the six fellows visited significant landmarks and cultural and educational institutions across the capital, gaining new perspectives and enriching their understanding of both their fields and the broader cultural context in which they work.
This immersive experience of learning and cultural exchange is designed not only to support the academic advancement of the fellows but also to contribute to their professional growth and personal development. It constitutes an integral part of the broader mission of the Center, in both Greece and the United States, to promote research and highlight the vital role that the humanities play in today's world.
