Aikaterini Peppa holds a PhD in Byzantine Archaeology from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and an MA in Byzantine Art History and Archaeology from the University of Athens. She works as an archivist at the French School at Athens. Her research explores material culture and economic transformation in the Late Antique and Byzantine periods, with a particular emphasis on pottery and craft production. As part of her archaeological work, she engages in experimental pottery making to gain deeper insight into Byzantine ceramic technologies and practices.
