CHS Greece announces the start of the applications’ submission to the new workshop “The Art of Poetry”, coordinated by Tassoula Karagheorghiou, poet, Dr. of Classical Philology at the Department of Philology, University of Crete, Honorary School Advisor to Philologists. The workshop seeks to enrich the participants’ reading experience through the interpretive reading of representative texts, to pave a way for the inside, deeper, and more systematic knowledge of poetic technique in combination with their personal experimentations with sharing poetic writing; and to highlight the emotional function of poetic language and the unutterable magic of poetic discourse. The participants will have the opportunity to dive deeper into the Art of Poetry and get familiar with elements of poetic art. By experimenting with poetic writing as well as with ancient lyrical excerpts' translations they will acquire stimuli for the pursuit of their personal poetic voice, style, and creative expression.
