A Thank You Letter to CHS Greece

On June 30th, we said goodbye to Mina Tsentourou, who has been an invaluable member of the CHS Greece team for the past seven years. As Programs and Events Coordinator, Mina brought dedication, professionalism, care, and energy to all aspects of our activities. We extend our heartfelt thanks for her many contributions and wish her every success as she embarks on the next chapter of her career.

Below, we share Mina’s own words of farewell and appreciation reflecting on her years with CHS Greece.

For the past seven years, I have had the fortune to work for CHS Greece, coordinating programs and events. Honestly, it has been my privilege. My professional journey will continue outside the Center, but before that, I want to take this space and time to say my big “thank you”.

Thank you, Evan, Katerina, Matina, Fani, Christos, and Christina: for all the moments we shared, for all your guidance and support, for our professional and personal relationship.

Working at CHS Greece comes with many benefits, among which:

  • The sense of “belonging” to Harvard University, which entails interaction with many people who study and work for the University, from different countries and backgrounds. I am grateful for all these connections and activities that broadened my perception of the world, as well as my social and professional network.
  • The constant encouragement for further education and training that arises from the work culture at CHS Greece and access to the University’s resources. In this context, in recent years, I have managed to strengthen my theoretical foundations in project management, text development, and the use of new technological tools, as well as to acquire knowledge in areas of interest for me, such as accessibility. Furthermore, access to university resources was crucial for the completion of my second postgraduate degree.
  • The team, consisting of colleagues with long-standing experience in the field, who prioritize values such as hospitality, diligence, and consistency. At CHS Greece, I became a member of a small yet dynamic professional family.

I feel grateful.

Highlights of my journey include CHS Greece’s certification as a green office of Harvard, the award received by the team I participated in for the Staff Art Show with resources from the University’s central administration (President’s Administrative Innovation Fund 2023), and the publication of the webpage on the Accessibility of CHS Greece, following the University-wide policy. More than all these, the organization of the Harvard Summer School and the Harvard Spring Break in Greece for Students and Alumni gave me the most powerful memories, and everyone who traveled with me on these programs holds a special place in my heart.

Thank you.

I wish all the best for the beautiful and significant next steps of CHS Greece.

With warm regards,
Mina
