31st International Philosophy Olympiad in Ancient Olympia, May 11-14
The 31st International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO) was implemented successfully from May 11 to 14 at the premises of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, Greece. Over 200 students and professors from 50 countries participated in sessions and discussions on this year's topic "A Life in Fair Competition." This year's Olympiad was special because the contest returned "home" to Greece after 13 years. The University of Patras's Department of Philosophy, the Region of Western Greece, CHS Greece, and the Arsakeia – Tositseia Schools, Society for the Promotion of Education and Learning (SPEL) came together and co-organized the event. You can find the medalists and honorable mentions of the 2023 contest on the 31st IPO's website.
We would like to congratulate the winners of the 31st IPO; the participating students and their parents/guardians; the collaborating institutions for joining forces on this significant event held in Greece after 13 years; the volunteers for contributing immensely to the event's organizational parts; the distinguished professors and official authorities who joined the International Philosophy Olympiad. CHS Greece has had the pleasure of participating in the International Philosophy Olympiad's Organizing Committee both times it was held in our country, in 2010 and in 2023.
