Overview

Harvard University's Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece is offering an internship position for the summer of 2026, focusing on supporting the coordination of academic programs and other activities. The intern will also contribute to the editing of texts and announcements, as well as to the management of the Center's digital platforms and social media. The duration of the internship is seven weeks, from June 22 to August 14, 2026.

Provisions for the intern

In addition to remuneration, CHS Greece will cover travel, accommodation, and participation costs for group activities for the duration of these weeks. Furthermore, for the duration of the internship, CHS Greece will provide a laptop computer and cover telephone communication expenses.

Responsibilities

During this period, the intern, based in Nafplio where CHS in Greece is located, will be required to attend CHS Greece programs implemented in various regions of Greece (indicatively Nafplio, Olympia, Athens, Thessaloniki), where they will be asked to participate in their coordination in person.

Eligibility

The program is open to university students in Greece who, at the time of submission of their application, are in at least their third year of undergraduate studies.

The intern must have organizational skills and excellent communication skills in Greek and English, the ability to coordinate educational activities in collaboration with and under the guidance of the program managers, as well as familiarity with the use of digital platforms and communication tools. They should also have the ability to edit texts and organize content and announcements in both English and Greek.
Previous relevant experience in participating in programs and multicultural environments, such as those organized and/or supported by CHS Greece, and very good academic performance will be considered a significant additional qualification.

Application

Applicants must submit an application in English via the CHS online application platform (CHS Greece forms). The deadline for submitting the electronic form is March 25, 2026. As part of the application process, candidates must submit a curriculum vitae (CV) and a cover letter. Also, as part of the application, candidates should provide the contact details of a person who will be asked to complete and submit a letter of recommendation electronically, using a dedicated form that will be sent by CHS Greece. Some applicants may be invited to online interviews. All applicants will be notified about their applications by early May 2026.
