CHS Greece announces the Events Series 2021 program
After its abrupt stop, the annual CHS Greece Events Series program resumes with its fourteenth iteration in 2021. In an updated format that will include virtual and in-person events in Nafplio, should conditions allow it, and a dual topic that aims to encompass its 2020 theme and the celebratory anniversary year of the 1821 Greek War of Independence, Events Series 2021 is titled "The Revolutionary Landscape of 1821 - Environmental Aesthetics and Politics." This year’s series will last from February through June 2021 with five monthly events. Two events will revolve around last year's topics of landscape and environmental politics and aesthetics, and three events are dedicated to the bicentennial anniversary since 1821.
In the context of the Events Series 2021, CHS Greece undertook the establishment of a research team of high school students from the Argolis region which will conduct a five-month-long research with the general title: "Nafplio and Argolis during the Revolution of 1821: The Local and the Global" and will present its results during the closing event of the series.
Altogether the three events dedicated to the celebration of the 1821 anniversary are under the aegis of the Municipality of Nafplio.
