About the program

Overview

In the context of the annual "Events Series" program of the Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece, Harvard University (CHS Greece) and as part of a series of events that the Center organizes in Greece and the US to honor the important anniversary of the celebration of the 200 years (1821–2021) since the Greek War of Independence, CHS Greece with the support of the Regional Directorate of Secondary Education in Argolis and the Argolis Association of Philologists, and under the auspices of the Municipality of Nafplio and the Committee of Honor "Nafplio 2021" undertakes the establishment of a research team of up to ten people, consisting of students from the General Senior High Schools in Argolis, who will participate in the project with the consent of their parents and guardians. The group of students, under the supervision of Dr. Emmanouil Chalkiadakis will conduct research in out-of-school time from January to May 2021 on "Nafplio and Argolis during the Revolution of 1821: The Local and the Global." The team will present the results of the research at an event to be held in June 2021, in Nafplio.
