Synopsis

This program provides a unique opportunity to gain archaeological fieldwork skills on the island of Kythera in Greece through first-hand experience in aspects such as excavation, post-excavation processing and recording, object photography, Geographic Information System (GIS), archival research, and public engagement. Harvard interns who will be selected for this project work in collaboration with students from the University of Sydney. Led by the University of Sydney, the project's senior research team is international, with experts from Australia, Brazil, France, Greece, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
