Harvard Alumni Association annual spring-break trip to Greece

For a seventh year the Center supported this important HAA initiative, which featured a number of special events in Nafplio, including a reception at the CHS. Gregory Nagy led the group of undergraduate and postgraduate students and alumni on the tour. Huntington Lambert, Dean of Continuing Education, participated in the trip and visited the Center, where he discussed study abroad programs in Greece.

Comparative Cultural Studies Program

This intensive program, the oldest continuously running “Harvard Summer School” abroad, brought twenty-five undergraduates to Greece (19 of them studying at Harvard), for the fourteenth session of annual seminars and site visits. Nicolas Prevelakis (Harvard/CHS) was the academic coordinator; Anna Stavrakopoulou (CHS/Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) offered her invaluable advice and expertise particularly during the program’s session in Thessaloniki. CHS Summer Internship Program in Greece

Lectures and activities related to the interns’ field of study were introduced; interns met with Kenny Morrell, Nicolas Prevelakis, Katerina Flaka (head of EURES in Greece) and all supervisors. CHS GR’s new collaborations with academic departments from throughout Greece link the interns’ field of study more closely with the internships.
