Christina Lafi

Christina works for the Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece as a Projects and Content Development Manager. She joined the CHS team in December 2014 after having interned and freelanced for the Center since 2010. Her day-to-day responsibilities involve content editing for accuracy, grammar, and style; social media consistency; user-centered web design practices (adhering to the University's policies) and future improvements; communication with the Center for Hellenic Studies in the US, Harvard Global Offices, Mass Media in Greece, other educational and cultural institutions in Greece and abroad.

Before joining CHS full-time, Christina gained experience in various domains, particularly in teaching English as a second language; she tutored students, has taught at the Public Vocational Training Institute of Sindos in Thessaloniki and public primary schools in the region of Pella on hourly rate contracts. Holding a BA from the School of English at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, she has been a language enthusiast ever since she can remember. She values learning from others and supporting other peoples' learning and growth, which aligns with the Center's mission. Christina is married and has a wonderful baby boy.
