"Olympia & the Struggle for Freedom": 10th International Scholars' Symposium

10th International Scholars' Symposium on Sports, Society, & Culture in honor of the Bicentennial of Greek Independence
October 9 & 10, 2021 (virtually)

Organized by the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington, DC, Harvard University (CHS US), International Olympic Academy (IOA), and CHS Greece, this virtual symposium is organized in honor of the Bicentennial of Greek Independence, and it is designed to shed new light on Hellenic identity formation and state-building within the broader context of the Olympics, ancient and modern.

It is addressed -free of charge- to forty junior and senior undergraduates, graduate/masters students and PhD candidates from departments that span the disciplines of Sport Sciences, Humanities and Political Sciences in Greece and Cyprus.
