The Center for Hellenic Studies offers up to 3 fellowships to Ph.D. candidates of Greek universities, regardless of their faculty of enrollment, who conduct research on topics related to ancient Greek civilization and have completed at least one year of studies. The duration of each fellowship will be 12 months (June–May), during which fellows will complete a semester-long research project (June–November) of their own choice. Throughout the appointment, and especially during its second half (December–May), fellows will be invited to participate in various CHS activities to share their findings and collaborate with other fellows and members of the CHS community.

The fellowship award includes year-long access to Harvard University's online databases and resources, a 10-day educational trip to CHS in Washington DC, invitations to present and publish the outcomes of the research project and attend meetings, as well as a research fund of €1000. Fellows will receive academic support and mentorship during the fellowship appointment by the academic committee of the program.
