The Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece (CHS Greece) and CHS US support the implementation of the "Intensive Summer Course on Migration and Refugee Studies in Greece" organized by the François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University and the Refugee and Migration Studies Hub at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). This new program aims to bring together in Greek locations of interest 15 Harvard graduate students and an equal number of students from Greek and other European Universities, for lectures, seminars, interactive class sessions, and fieldwork on issues related to contemporary forced migration. The course offers to the students the opportunity to engage both conceptually and practically with key issues related to contemporary forced migration. The duration of the course is three weeks (July 11, 2022 – July 31, 2022) and the faculty team includes members from both the FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard and NKUA.

Students from all Harvard graduate schools as well as Harvard PhD candidates are eligible to apply for the 15 slots for the Harvard students until Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
