CHS Greece announces the beginning of the applications' submission to the new workshop "Artificial Intelligence: Coexisting with Machines," which will be coordinated by Dr. Charalambos Tsekeris, Senior Research Fellow in Digital Sociology at the National Centre for Social Research (Athens, Greece), and Vice-President of the Hellenic National Commission for Bioethics & Technoethics.

The workshop seeks to highlight Artificial Intelligence’s role in our daily lives. The rapid invasion of advanced "smart" algorithms affects how we work, learn, communicate, and relate to others while raising severe moral issues and tangible threats to liberal democracy and humanity. During the workshop, we will reflect upon our fears and hopes and delve into the impact of Artificial Intelligence on modern society and human values. We will examine the positive and negative aspects of AI development on an individual and collective basis, emphasizing the ethical, social, and political consequences and ways in which we can respond as active citizens to the current challenges. Finally, we will explore a range of trends and scenarios for our possible digital futures.
