Application extension for the High School Research Project on the Greek War of Independence 1821

The Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece, Harvard University invites students to participate in a research project under the title "Nafplio and Argolis during the Revolution of 1821: The Local and the Global." In the context of the annual "Events Series" program the Center undertakes the establishment of a research team consisting of students from the General Senior High Schools in Argolis with the support of the Regional Directorate of Secondary Education in Argolis and the Argolis Association of Literature Teachers, and under the auspices of the Municipality of Nafplio and the Committee of Honor "Nafplio 2021."

The research project aims to give the opportunity to fourteen students from Argolis to highlight aspects of the history of Nafplio and Argolis during the Greek War of Independence, and also, to enhance their research skills on topics related to local history. The group of students, under the supervision of Dr. Emmanouil Chalkiadakis, will conduct research from January to May 2021 in out-of-school time. The team will present the results of the research at an event to be held in June 2021 in Nafplio.
