Join CHS Director and Harvard Professor, Gregory Nagy, also an elected foreign member of the Academy of Athens since 2010, for his virtual presentation that will take place on January 20, 2021, 5–7pm EET, entitled "When self-praise connects the speaker to the universe: A diachronic view of the word εὔχομαι in its Homeric contexts."

The Research Centre for Greek and Latin Literature of the Academy of Athens organizes its 2020–2021 Seminar entitled "(Self-)Praise & (Self-)Blame in Ancient Literature," hosting a number of distinguished scholars from around the world who will deliver their presentations virtually throughout the year.
