Research topic during fellowship: Mirroring and Focalization: The Characterization of Laocoon in the Posthomerica

Christos Frosynakis is a PhD candidate in Classical Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His doctoral research consists of a commentary on Book 12 of Quintus of Smyrna's Posthomerica, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Katerina Carvounis.

He previously completed his MA at the same institution, where his thesis explored inset tales and mirroring in the Iliad. His research interests include Homeric epic, Late Antique poetry, and historiography.

Christos has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Classical Quarterly and Hermes. He has also participated in several international conferences and seminars, including the International Symposium on the Odyssey and the International Conference on Tacitus in Lisbon.
