Synopsis of the event:

The 6th Panhellenic Theatrological Conference organized by the Department of Theatre Studies in Nafplio takes place on May 17-20, 2017. The title of the conference is “Theater and Otherness: Theory, Dramaturgy and Theater Practice”. The speakers included faculty from Greek, U.S., and British universities and other experts. Anna Stavrakopoulou (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/CHS Greece), was invited to become a member of the Scientific Committee of the conference and she will give a paper entitled “‘To smash all ideals with big blows’: the first reactions of women in Greece towards Ibsen”. Ioannis Petropoulos (University of Thrace/CHS Greece) will deliver remarks at the conference’s opening in the Vouleftikon of Nafplio, and a number of sessions will be held at the Center’s lecture hall throughout the conference.
