Synopsis of the internship program:

This is the thirteenth year of the program. Three Harvard undergraduates, one student from Boston University, and one from Georgetown University, stay in Nafplio for five weeks and work alongside four of their peers from Greek Universities (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Democritus University of Thrace, Ionian University, and University of Ioannina). Divided into groups, the participants intern in local cultural institutions with assignments based on their academic background and professional development. A broad variety of educational activities and lectures complements the students’ internships. An additional component of the 2018 internship program is the Service-Based-Learning Course, offered to Harvard interns by the faculty of the program before their arrival in Greece, as well as during the fall that follows the internship. Similarly, the other US students connect their internship in Greece with a course or a paper submission. In the fall of 2018, the four Greek interns will visit Washington DC, as a follow-up of the program. The trip, which is fully supported by CHS, is an opportunity to share their experience with the CHS US community and visit institutions related to their Nafplio internships.
