Synopsis:
In this workshop the coordinator and the participants will go on a voyage through the solar system and beyond, to the stars and distant celestial objects. Basic solar physics, the effects of Space Weather on satellites and technological systems, the most important missions sent into space, and stellar evolution will be some of the key points addressed during the workshop. The group will also have the chance to spend an evening under Nafplio's night sky identifying stars and connecting the constellations with Greek mythology. In addition, the coordinator will describe the famous Antikythera Mechanism and share important information on observational astronomy, and finally, in looking for the relationship between science and art, she will link Astronomy with Music.
