Annual Panhellenic Philosophical Competition

The Ministry of Education, the University of Patras (Department of Philosophy), the Greek Philosophical Society, and CHS GR co-organized the 5th Panhellenic Philosophical Competition for high schools in April 2016, with the support of the Panhellenic Association of Philologists. The final round of the competition was held in Patras. The CHS GR Director serves ex officio as a member of the National Organizing Committee. The Center provides book prizes for the three national winners every year.

853 students from 102 schools and 36 prefectures competed; this year’s topic was “Philosophy and Art”. The final round was held at the University of Patras on April 22–23. The winners represented Greece at the International Philosophy Olympiad in Ghent, Belgium. As in the past, Christos Giannopoulos attended the event and awarded book prizes to the winners.
