CHS Greece is the hosting institution of the "Rethinking Economic Theory" workshop which welcomes about 40 distinguished academics, policymakers, and practitioners from all over the world, including presenters from Greece, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Turkey, the UK, and the US. Participants will focus on the aspects of economic theory that address:

  • the recovery from the global financial crisis that the Greek economy and other South European countries suffered in the last decade,
  • the unprecedented levels of information dissemination brought about by new technological advancements,
  • the climate change and the associated adverse economic impact.

The workshop will use the CHS Greece lecture hall and adjoining spaces for its registration desk, proceedings, and breaks. As the hosting institution, CHS Greece has also contributed to a small extent in discussions for the development of the workshop in the past months of its preparation, suggesting guest participants.
