Synopsis of the presentation:
On January 21, Theodore Antoniadis gave a presentation on "Nil desperandum...cras ingens iterabimus aequor (Hor. Carm. 1.7): Searching for 'the promised land' in Greco-Roman Myth and Literature" as part of the spring series of fellows' talks. Theodore is an Assistant Professor of Latin Literature at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a CHS Fellow in Comparative Cultural Studies 2020–2021. His research topic during his fellowship is "Contextualizing Mobility and Immigration in Roman Myth and Latin Epic." The series of talks is open to CHS fellows and affiliates.
