Fourth International Conference on Ancient Helike and Aigialeia

The Fourth International Conference on Ancient Helike and Aigialeia, organized by the Helike Society and the Municipality of Diakopton was held in Nikolaiika of Diakopton from September 1-3, 2007. On September 1, Ioannis Petropoulos gave one of the opening addresses, along with officials from the Ministry of Culture, the Universities of Patras and the Peloponnese, and others attending the conference. Participants included Dr. Jack Davis of the American School of Classical Studies and Emeritus Professor John Coleman of Cornell University. It is worth mentioning that this was the first event officially placed under the intellectual auspices of CHS Greece.
