As someone that had always wanted to do work in a museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art summer internship seemed too good to be true. My academic focus in the Greek world is primarily the archaic period and social history, so the museum's collection and pedagogy were a perfect match. When the internship was first described to me by an advisor who thought it was a good fit, I assumed that it was out of my reach, but I applied as an optimistic reach. How glad I am that I did!

Meet the High School Summer Program 2022 Teaching Fellows!

From June 30 until July 15, 2022, four Harvard College students will join the CHS High School Summer Program (HSSP), as Teaching Fellows. The HSSP is organized by CHS Greece in cooperation with Harvard’s Committee on Degrees in Social Studies, and with the support of Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies, Harvard University. January Term Program (JTerm)

Crete, Nafplio, and Athens

JTerm came to Greece for a third year. The team consisted of nine students (three from Harvard University) and a Harvard postgraduate (who served as a teaching assistant), the CHS programs coordinator, and Professors Gregory Nagy and Kenny Morrell. The group visited Crete, Nafplion, and Athens, focusing once again on the study of the Bronze Age.

Teaching Internship - Call for applications

CHS Greece seeks up to 4 Harvard College students to serve as Teaching Fellows (TFs) for the CHS High School Summer Program (HSSP) in Greece. TFs will support the HSSP faculty members and participate in planning, coordinating, and teaching a 2-week seminar. The first phase of the internship will be the TF's preparation during the spring semester, and the second phase will be the program itself in Nafplio, Greece.
