CHS Greece, in support of the initiative, hosts an event on Saturday, November 26, with Irene Loutzaki who will speak on "Zeibekiko and Tsifteteli as forms of popular expression and as performance." As special objects of study, the zeibekikos and the tsifteteli, two dances that occupy a central position in many modern -secular and folk- festivals, are offered for analysis of their main characteristics. The talk will focus on the modern Greek form of the dances, as it was formed in Greece after 1922.

Learn more about the talks and the other related events.

<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="ca676bcb-b6d7-4d5b-a80f-cfa19706c406" alt="Logo of the Basil Papantoniou Foundation" data-view-mode="hwp_x_small"></drupal-media><drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="d09461ff-fe5f-475d-8398-f93f49c78f32" alt="Logo of the Municipal Sport, Tourism, Environment and Culture organization of the Municipality of Nafplio" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media>
