CHS in Greece in collaboration with the Municipality of Nafplio and the Municipality’s Cultural Organization (DOPPAT), launched in 2015 a creative writing workshop. The workshop was coordinated by Stratis Haviaras and Marty Lambrou. Haviaras was an author and teacher, the former curator of the Woodberry Poetry Room and founder of the quarterly Erato (which subsequently became The Harvard Book Review and still later The Harvard Review). Lambrou is a novelist.
The first workshop, which was open to the public, was held in the Center. Stratis Haviaras gave an introductory lecture, entitled “Introduction to the Art of Writing” which covered all genres (short story, novel, poetry and essay). There followed brief interventions by Marty Lambrou and a discussion with the participants.
