#  CHS Greece at Harvard in October 2023

 Once again, CHS Greece and CHS US participated in [Harvard's Worldwide Week 2023](https://worldwide.harvard.edu/worldwide-week-harvard-2023), joining forces with several other Harvard offices to celebrate the diversity of the university globally. The centerpiece of the Center's contribution was a roundtable discussion that aimed to bring together diverse perspectives and ideas on teaching humanities to incarcerated individuals. This dialogue included the valuable insights of a re-entering citizen, providing a well-rounded view of the challenges faced and opportunities that education offers to those within the prison system.

 During the days of Worldwide Week in Cambridge, MA, CHS Greece was represented by three of its staff members: Christos Giannopoulos, the Managing Director, Matina Goga, the Curricular Development Manager and Mina Tsentourou, the Programs and Events Coordinator. In addition to actively participating in the [Center's event at the Worldwide Week](/events-conferences/empowerment-through-education-prisons) and attending the summit of the directors of Harvard's global offices, the three of them had the unique opportunity of engaging with numerous colleagues and associates from various departments and offices within the University in person.

 Committed to advancing the mission of the Center for Hellenic Studies, which is dedicated to serving the humanities, Greece, and Harvard on a global scale, CHS Greece looks forward with enthusiasm to its yearly engagement in the Cambridge campus, and these face-to-face interactions serve as an invaluable platform for discussing existing collaborations and exploring potential synergies in Greece.
