Harvard's Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece and the University of Sydney invite Harvard undergraduate students to apply for two positions of the [Field Archaeology Internship in Kythera](/internships/kythera-field-archaeology "Field Archaeology Internship in Kythera") program from June 22 to July 11, 2026. The program covers the cost for accommodation for the duration of the program (on Kythera as well as during transit through Athens), meals on all work days, airfare to and from Greece (international flight), transport to and from Kythera (domestic flight or ferry) and transfers to and from airports and excavation site, as well as a per diem for other minor expenses.

The program will take place in the Greek island of Kythera, and the interns will gain first-hand experience in aspects such as excavation, post-excavation processing and recording, object photography, Geographic Information System (GIS), archival research, and public engagement.

Any Harvard undergraduate student with the following academic backgrounds and interests is eligible to apply: Archaeology, Art History, Cultural/Heritage Management, Classics, Hellenic Studies, and History.
