Research topic during fellowship: *Ceramic Foodscapes: Pottery and Agricultural Economies in the Hellenistic Cyclades*

Edyta Marzec is an archaeologist specializing in Hellenistic and Roman pottery of the Eastern Mediterranean. She is based at the National Centre for Scientific Research "Demokritos," where she conducts archaeometric research in partnership with the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology at the University of Warsaw. Additionally, she is affiliated with the Fitch Laboratory of the British School at Athens, collaborating on the MATEGEE project "Beyond the Stamp – Material and Production Strategies for Amphorae in the Hellenistic and Roman Aegean."

She holds an MSc in Archaeological Materials from the University of Sheffield and her PhD in Archaeology from Jagiellonian University. Her research integrates macroscopic and laboratory analyses to examine ceramic technology, production organization, and patterns of distribution across the Mediterranean and beyond.

She has worked with materials from Nea Paphos, the Athenian Agora, Corinth, Kos, Tinos, and Delos, publishing on craft practices, ceramic provenance, and economic interactions from the Classical to the Early Byzantine periods.
