Research topic during fellowship: *Aristotle and the Matter of Life*

Dafni Argyri recently submitted her PhD thesis at the University of Geneva (March 2025). Her doctoral research focused on the concepts of memory and recollection as they appear in the works of the commentators of Aristotle, from Late Antiquity to Byzantium.

She holds an MA in History and Philosophy of Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and she obtained a BA in Greek Philology from the same university. She has published the articles "The Byzantine Reception of Aristotle's *De memoria*" (Brepols, 2021) and "Michael of Ephesus on Memory and Recollection" (Brill, forthcoming).
