 Eighteen undergraduate and graduate students participated in the CHS Summer Internship Program in 2008, including for the first time graduate students from the School of Design. The program collaborated with various institutions, providing internships in diverse fields to students of different disciplinary backgrounds and concentrations. During the orientation week, CHS faculty and Harvard academics delivered lectures that included an introduction to Modern Greek and 'The Anthropology of Memory,' exploring theoretical and comparative approaches to studying ancient and modern Greece. Interns received reading materials, participated in daily presentations, and engaged in discussions.

 After orientation, internships commenced in Nafplio, Athens, and the island of Poros. Housing was arranged, and students worked Monday through Thursday at their host institutions, with Fridays designated for excursions. The program aimed to acquaint students with ancient, medieval, and modern Greek culture through visits to archaeological sites, museums, and cultural events. Excursions included visits to Athens and the Peloponnese, as well as a weekend at Delphi, and a trip to Epidaurus for a performance of Euripides' *Phoenician Women*, along with the Harvard Comparative Cultural Studies Program at Olympia. Students also attended art exhibitions, met art collectors, and visited the Greek Parliament. A notable project involved digitizing the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation's journal, *Ethnographica*, by intern Amelia Muller. This initiative aimed to enrich online resources, making ethnographic material and archives accessible to the public. Overall, the program successfully combined academic learning, professional experiences, and cultural immersion, fostering collaboration between CHS and various institutions in Greece.
