#### Synopsis

We often hear that democracy is in danger – because of fake news, angry protests, powerful elites, or simply because people no longer trust their governments. But what is democracy really? Is it just about elections, or something deeper – like freedom, fairness, or participation? And how can we tell if it's truly at risk?

CHS Greece and the HSSP Teaching Team (Harvard Faculty and Teaching Fellows) invite you to join this open discussion to explore, together, what democracy means, why people worry about losing it, and what it might take to protect or reinvent it for the future. Come with your questions, your thoughts, and your doubts!

Applicants for the HSSP 2025 will receive priority. If you wish to attend the event, please contact Matina Goga at <matina.goga@chs.harvard.edu> or by phone at (+30) 6973035317 / 2752047030.
