## Full title:

Continent or Archipelago? A geographical approach on the relationship between Greece and Europe

## Lecturer:

George-Stylianos Prevelakis, Professor of Geopolitics, Université de Paris I, & Director of the academic journal Anatoli (CNRS Editions)

## Language:

Greek

## Synopsis of the lecture:

Europe is placed between the vast Eurasian continent and the sea: the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. The dialectic between these two horizons runs through all of its history. Today, the continental dimension is strengthened, the transatlantic ties weaken, and the Mediterranean neighborhood is destabilizing. How can the Greek symbolic contribute to the restoration of balance? What role do the Mediterranean values have in the adaptation of Europe to globalization?
