8th Annual “Harvard Abroad” Workshop

The 8th annual workshop “Harvard Abroad: The Annual Workshop on Harvard’s Engagement Worldwide” took place in Cambridge on January 30, 2015. The workshop was held under the auspices of Professor Jorge I. Domínguez, the Vice Provost for International Affairs of Harvard. Christos Giannopoulos and Nicolas Prevelakis, together with Teresa Wu and Allie Marbry, met with professors, administrators, and directors of the University’s Central Administration, centers and other offices. They discussed current and future activities of Harvard throughout the world.

24 Hours of Harvard

On October 7, 2020, the Office of the Vice Provost for International Affairs (OVPIA) at Harvard University coordinated the unique event, “24 Hours of Harvard” (24hH). 24hH featured 24 consecutive hours of Harvard programming: an around-the-clock, around-the-world lineup of events and activities, underscoring that at any hour of the day or night, Harvard teaching, research, learning, and outreach is happening somewhere in the world.

Comparative Cultural Studies Program (CCSP) Alumni reunion

Thirty-three Harvard students from programs since 2013 attended the event. Gregory Nagy and Nicolas Prevelakis welcomed the students; Harvard faculty and staff (Mark Schiefsky, Adrian Staehli, Cathy Coleman, Teresa Wu, and Daphne Maramaldi) also attended the reunion. Marina Cheilitsi (Coordinator of the Program) was also present and assisted in preparing the event. The reunion helped to strengthen the CHS’s ties with alumni, by whose word of mouth news of CHS programs reaches many prospective applicants.

Harvard’s International Photo Contest

Lamont Library’s Forum Room

CHS GR, in cooperation with CHS DC and the Harvard Office of International Education, organized for a fourth year the Greek section of Harvard’s International Photo Contest.

The contest is open to Harvard students who have participated in summer programs abroad. The CHS, represented by Nicolas Prevelakis and Teresa Wu, awarded a prize to undergraduate Frank DuBose for the best photo taken in Greece and honorary mention to three other contestants.
